- Always wear sunscreen with an SPF rating of 30 or higher. Put sunscreen on 15 to 20 minutes before going out in the sun. Reapply every 2 hours
- Take frequent breaks from the sun by going indoors or stepping into the shade.
- Drink plenty of water! Drinking before you get thirsty helps keep the water level in your body from dropping too low when it's hot or you're sweating a lot with heat and exercise.
